At this time there are three licensed vendors for ECA PKI Certificates for JPAS access; IdenTrust, ORC and Symantec (formerly VeriSign). In August Symantec will no longer be an option as their certificates will be expiring or revoked as Symantec is ceasing its’ ECA operations. The end of life for a Symantec ECA PKI Certificate will be on August 16, 2017. Those with ECA PKI Certificates from IdenTrust or ORC are not impacted by this.
If you have a Symantec Cert you should have already received guidance from the company regarding what to do. If you didn’t receive guidance from Symantec or if you still have questions you can check out their website for additional guidance: https://www.symantec.com/products/information-protection/eca-certificates.
Again we want to stress that those with ECA PKI Certificates from IdenTrust or ORC are not impacted by this. If you do have a Certificate through Symantec and need to order a Certificate from one of the other vendors please click on the links below:
